Audenshaw, Roof
The client had a long-standing leak problem with the roof. The style of the property was odd in that there was a parapet wall to the front elevation, with a zinc-lined valley gutter behind it. This was proving problematic and difficult to maintain.
It was decided to remove the wall, extend the roof rafter, and form a traditional fascia board with gutters, in keeping with other properties in the area, thus solving the problem.
Since this work was carried out, the adjoining property has followed suit and removed their parapet wall so both now look identical.
